Designed by legendary knife designer Blackie Collins and originallly produced for us by Sonny Bowen in Georgia,  it is a unique, convenient and useful piece of cutlery that doubles as fine wearing apparel.   In May of 2001, Sonny sold the dies and the company to Gayle Pittman in Arkansas.  Not only is Gayle better looking than Sonny, but Gale made improvements on what was already a great product.  Gayle has upgraded the steel from 440 to 420, making the blade and handle stronger and lighter at the same time.  This belt buckle looks like a conventional belt while being worn, yet it is readily available for personal protection or utility purposes around the home, office, roadside or campsite.   When you wear a Survivalist™ belt knife, there is no need to carry any other knife.   The blade fits into a special sheath so that neither the point nor the blade can come into contact with the wearer; thus, it is safe to wear.   You will discover new uses for this handy knife every time you wear and use it.
